The hotel boasts a lovely view of the loch and offers spotless, comfortable rooms; however, some felt the atmosphere was lacking. The service was proactive and efficient, with friendly staff. The location is outstanding, perfect for wildlife viewing and trips to nearby islands. The dining experience was great, featuring locally sourced, freshly prepared dishes, with one morning missing a cooked breakfast. Overall, a wonderful escape close to nature with exceptional service.

7.6/10

Upon entering the hotel after a day out, I was greeted by a fresh-smelling room that felt really clean. However, the room only had a bath with an attachment, which was not the best after a day of hiking. It seemed to be the only available option when booking, though, and the ensuite bathroom was a plus after a day out in the Mull weather.

Rooms
8.0
The room smelled fresh and was very clean, but having only a bath was not ideal after a long day of hiking.
Service
7.0
The service was good, especially during meals in the same area. However, the early breakfast timings on weekends required me to be up at 9am.
Location
9.0
The location overlooking the water on beautiful Loch Scridain was stunning and peaceful. It was close to the edge of the loch and offered a great overall kitchen experience.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was fine, set me up well for the day, but I wished for more variety during lunchtime.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were basic but satisfactory for a comfortable stay.
